Moroccan Bites Tagine | Our Story
Born from resilience, rooted in Morocco
Moroccan Bites Tagine is a family restaurant in San Antonio built on two things: a love of authentic Moroccan cooking and a genuine desire to share it. Everything you taste here comes from that same place.
A new home, a familiar table
After Hurricane Katrina, the family relocated to Texas and opened Moroccan Bites Tagine to share the food and culture of Morocco with San Antonio. That original purpose still drives everything here.
Teaching the tradition
Each month the kitchen opens for a hands-on cooking class — learn to make meat and vegan tagines alongside our chefs, with complimentary Moroccan tea throughout. No experience needed.
A cuisine worth knowing
Moroccan food is a blend of Spanish and Arabic culinary traditions — fragrant, layered, and unlike anything else you'll find in San Antonio. Dishes like Lamb Shanks with Apricots and Chicken Pastilla are your way in.
Food made with care
Every dish is made in-house using organic produce and halal meat, the way it's always been done in Moroccan kitchens. You can taste the difference when nothing is cut short.
Recognized beyond San Antonio
Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives filmed the Lamb Shanks with Apricots here, and KSAT named us a must-try on the city's northwest side.
